Yakitori HANABI | 9.3

If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience, Hanabi Yakitori is a must-visit restaurant. Located in the city center, this cozy little restauarant is known for its mouthwatering yakitori, a type of Japanese skewered meat grilled over charcoal.

At Hanabi Yakitori, you’ll find a wide range of meaty treats on the menu, including pork, beef, beef tongue, and chicken. Each dish is prepared with care by the head chef, who has spent over 15 years practicing his craft in Tokyo. In Japan, becoming a Yakitori Master is not easy, and it takes many years of practice to perfect the art of grilling meat on skewers.

One of the things that sets Hanabi Yakitori apart from other restaurants in Amsterdam is the attention to detail in the preparation of the meat. The chef carefully “shikomi” or prepares fresh meats one by one every day, ensuring that each skewer is cooked to perfection. Whether you’re a meat lover or just looking to try something new, you won’t be disappointed by the quality of the food here.

During my visit to Hanabi Yakitori, I was particularly impressed by the beef tongue skewers. The meat was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning. But the other meat variations were just as delicious and flavorful.

The only downside of the experience was that the beef in the last round was a bit tougher than in the previous rounds. However, this did not detract from the overall experience, and I would still highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience in Amsterdam.

Overall, Hanabi Yakitori is a great spot for anyone looking to try a variety of delicious and authentic Japanese yakitori. With its cozy atmosphere and excellent service, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
