Exploring toogoodtogo – De Pizzabakkers | 7.8

Our journey into the world of “Too Good to Go” continues, and this time, we found ourselves at “De Pizzabakkers.” For just €3.99, we embarked on a culinary adventure that promised great value, and it certainly did not disappoint.

The “Too Good to Go” box from “De Pizzabakkers Amsterdam” held culinary treasures that would have typically cost us at least €11.99 if purchased separately. The anticipation grew as we opened the box to reveal its delightful contents, hoping for something that would satisfy both our taste buds and our wallets.

“De Pizzabakkers” is no stranger to us. We’ve ordered from them before, so we were already familiar with their delectable offerings. In our “Too Good to Go” box, we discovered two pizzas. The first was a “Salami Finocchiona,” a pizza adorned with fennel salami and mozzarella. However, it seemed like this pizza had taken an adventurous journey in the oven, causing it to fold in on itself. While it may not have been aesthetically perfect, the taste remained impeccable, with the salami providing a perfect balance of savory and spicy notes that complemented the creamy mozzarella.

The second pizza, a “Piccante e Gorgonzola,” featured ‘Nduja and gorgonzola, a combination that has always belonged to one of our favorites. “De Pizzabakkers” certainly delivered in the taste department. The only notable difference was that this pizza was slightly smaller than the ones we typically order from their menu. This size variation was likely the reason it found its way into the “Too Good to Go” program.

Let’s talk about value. A “Salami Finocchiona” pizza would typically set you back €12.25, which is already more than the €11.99 we anticipated in the box. The “Piccante e Gorgonzola” pizza, priced at €14.50, further enhanced the value of our treasure trove. In total, the contents of the box amounted to an impressive €26.75 in value. It’s rare to find such value in a meal, especially in a city where dining out can be quite pricey, making this experience even more rewarding.

Our second “Too Good to Go” experience at “De Pizzabakkers” left us with satisfied palates and an appreciation for the incredible value that can be found in these surprise boxes. Despite the minor quirks, such as the folded pizza and the slightly smaller size, the quality and taste of the pizzas remained consistent with what we love about “De Pizzabakkers.” The experience reinforced our belief that sometimes, the best meals are the ones that come with a bit of mystery.

In the world of “Too Good to Go,” the unexpected is part of the adventure. It’s not just about getting a great deal; it’s about reducing food waste and savoring delightful surprises. We eagerly look forward to our next “Too Good to Go” exploration, knowing that it will undoubtedly be a worthwhile culinary adventure. Our “Too Good to Go” box from “De Pizzabakkers” had a total value of €26.75, reminding us once again that sometimes, the best treasures come in unexpected packages.
