If you’re a fan of avocados, you’ve probably heard of restaurant the Avocado Show. This restaurant is based in Amsterdam, has been making waves in the foodie community ever since it opened its doors. And for good reason – everything on the menu features the beloved green fruit.
I’ve been wanting to visit the Avocado Show ever since it was announced, but unfortunately it was always out of my way. However, I finally had the chance to try it out, and it did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the restaurant’s Instagram-worthy decor. The interior design is a feast for the eyes with its green velvet chairs, pink neon signs, and, of course, plenty of avocados artfully incorporated into the decor. The vibrant and playful atmosphere sets the perfect stage for a unique dining experience.
The menu at The Avocado Show is as creative as it is extensive, featuring a wide array of dishes that highlight the versatility of avocados. From avocado toast and avocado burgers to avocado fries and even avocado-based drinks, there’s no shortage of innovative ways to enjoy this fruit. I opted for the avocado burger, where the avocado was used as a bun. Although the unconventional bun made the burger a bit challenging to eat, the overall taste was absolutely delicious. The avocado provided a rich, creamy texture that paired wonderfully with the other ingredients. The portion size was generous without being overwhelming, striking a perfect balance that left me satisfied but not overly full.
Of course, no visit to the Avocado Show would be complete without trying one of their avocado cocktails. I decided to try the “Avo Margarita,” which featured avocado puree, tequila, and lime juice. The cocktail was surprisingly refreshing, with the avocado adding a smooth and creamy element that complemented the tangy lime and the kick of tequila. It was not too sweet, making it the ideal drink to accompany my meal. The inventive approach to cocktails at The Avocado Show demonstrates their commitment to using avocados in every possible way.
In addition to the great food and drinks, the service at The Avocado Show was friendly and attentive. The staff seemed genuinely enthusiastic about the menu and were happy to offer recommendations and answer questions. This added a personal touch to the dining experience and made me feel welcome throughout my visit.
Overall, I have to say that The Avocado Show is definitely worth the hype. The concept is both innovative and fun, and the execution exceeds expectations. The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared, the drinks are inventive and well-crafted, and the atmosphere is both lively and inviting. If you’re ever in Amsterdam and looking for a unique and memorable dining experience, be sure to check out The Avocado Show. Just be prepared for a wait, as the restaurant is understandably popular and often draws a crowd. The experience is well worth it, and you might just find yourself wanting to come back for more.
