Our first night in Dubrovnik was made even more special by dining at Taverna Loggia. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this restaurant was something special. The food was outstanding, showcasing the best of local and seasonal ingredients. We started off with carpaccio and oysters, both of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The carpaccio was thinly sliced and perfectly seasoned, while the oysters were plump and briny, served with a zesty mignonette sauce that enhanced their natural sweetness. For our main course, we decided to try the lamb and octopus, and we were not disappointed. The lamb was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a delightful blend of spices, while the octopus was incredibly tender, grilled to a perfect char and served with a flavorful sauce that complemented its delicate taste. Each dish was presented beautifully, demonstrating the chef’s attention to detail and commitment to quality.
To finish off our meal, we ordered two lava cakes, which were the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The cakes were rich and gooey, with a molten center that oozed decadently when cut open. They were served warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that added a refreshing contrast to the rich chocolate. The desserts were a true indulgence, leaving us completely satisfied and eager to return.
The service at Taverna Loggia was also more then amazing. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and even recommended a wine that paired perfectly with our meal. All in all, we paid €104.52 for our meal, which we felt was definely worth paying double the amount considering the quality of the food and service.
