A Delightful Lunch at Le Sens Unique: Parisian Charm and High-Quality Cuisine
If you’re seeking a quintessential Parisian dining experience, Le Sens Unique is a must-visit. This charming French restaurant in the heart of Paris offers an inviting ambiance, excellent service and high-quality food worth every penny. We stumbled upon this gem for our first lunch in Paris and it set the bar high for the rest of our trip.
Cozy Atmosphere with a Sophisticated Twist
Le Sens Unique has a cute and welcoming atmosphere with a well-thought-out interior that perfectly blends modern touches with classic French charm. From the moment we walked in, we felt comfortable, despite initially thinking the restaurant might be a bit on the pricey side. When we got our food, however, it was clear that the price is more than reasonable for the quality and portions.
A Flavorful Start: Burrata and Charcuterie
Since we were only a few hours away from dinner, we decided to keep it light and go for some appetizers. But “light” wasn’t exactly what we got – in the best possible way! We ordered the burrata, which was served on a large plate filled with a delicious assortment of fruit, salad and pesto, along with some dried/smoked meat. It was a feast for the eyes, as well as the mouth!
We also chose a charcuterie plate, which was filled with a variety of dried and smoked meats. Both dishes were accompanied by a generous basket of fresh bread, which could be refilled for free (a big plus), and a vase filled with delicious pickles, which were a perfect tangy contrast to the meat.
Top-Notch Service
The service at Le Sens Unique was excellent. Even though it was busy at lunchtime, the food and drinks arrived on the table quickly without feeling rushed. The staff was friendly, professional and spoke good English, which was helpful when navigating the menu. Furthermore, an English menu was also available, making the dining experience even smoother for international visitors.

Le Sens Unique offers a menu perfect for an extended lunch or just a drink with some tasty appetizers. While we didn’t get a chance to sample more dishes, it’s clear from the appetizers alone that this is a place where high-quality fresh ingredients take center stage. The burrata was creamy and well balanced with the fruity and savory side dishes, while the meat dish was generous and varied, offering a little bit of everything for meat lovers.
The restaurant also has a delicious selection of drinks to complement your meal, making it a great place for a leisurely lunch or a quick break during a day of sightseeing.
Final Thoughts
All in all, our experience at Le Sens Unique was a delightful introduction to 1 of Paris’ wonderful restaurants. The cozy atmosphere, high-quality food and excellent service made it the perfect choice for our first lunch in Paris. Although we initially thought it might be a bit pricey, the generous portions and fresh ingredients more than justified the price.
