Our journey at Kokusai Alkmaar began with the anticipation of trying a variety of sushi creations. As sushi enthusiasts, we were eager to try out everything they had to offer. While the quality of the sushi was ok, it fell short in comparison to some of the superior sushi restaurants in Alkmaar, such as the renowned Uma.
In the midst of our dining experience, an unexpected incident occurred that caught our attention. A child from a neighboring table accidentally dropped her loaded plate onto the ground, which causedsrice and vegetables all over the ground. To our surprise, the aftermath was left unattended, with the mess left on the floor, even reaching our table. This departure from the expected cleanliness was puzzling and left us with a sense of unease.
As we progressed through our meal, we looked forward to exploring the dessert offerings. A dessert buffet awaited us, promising a sweet conclusion to our dining experience. However, as we reached out for our plates, we were dismayed to find them unclean. This discovery raised concerns about the overall hygiene standards maintained at Kokusai. While the dessert buffet itself offered a variety of options, the lingering impression of hygiene issues cast a shadow over the experience.
