Graca Amsterdam: A Hidden Gem for Lunch and Shared Dining

Tucked away in the Osdorp are in Amsterdam, Graca is a hidden gem that truly exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re looking for a cozy lunch spot or planning a shared dining experience, this aesthetically pleasing restaurant offers both great food and an inviting atmosphere.

The first thing that strikes you when you step into Graca is the ambiance. The soft, beige tones create a serene environment that’s both modern and relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel at home, perfect for a laid-back lunch or an intimate gathering with friends.

One unique aspect of Graca is that they don’t serve alcohol. Instead, they offer a selection of mocktails that are cleverly named after the original cocktails, but without the alcohol. I opted for their Monin lemonade, and while I didn’t have high expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, but not bland either—just right for a refreshing drink.

For lunch, we tried their Croque Monsieur with pulled beef steak and the Croque Madame. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that really made a difference. The pulled beef steak in the Croque Monsieur added a nice twist, and the Croque Madame was equally satisfying, with the perfectly cooked egg on top. I must say, these were one of the best croques we had so far!

Graca also caters to a diverse clientele by serving halal meat, which is a thoughtful touch that makes the restaurant more inclusive. There’s even a separate room that seemed to be a prayer space, showing the attention to detail and care they have for their guests.

The service was friendly and fast, which added to the overall great experience. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and we never felt rushed.

Though we only went for lunch, the menu has left us intrigued enough to want to return for dinner. If the quality of the lunch was anything to go by, I’m sure the evening experience will be equally delightful.

Final Verdict: Graca is the kind of place that surprises you in the best way possible. The food is way better than expected, the atmosphere is calm and inviting, and the service is top-notch. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual lunch or planning a shared dining experience, Graca is a must-visit in Amsterdam. We will definitely be coming back soon!
