Imagine exploring a menu that covers everything from classic bruschetta to a comforting cheese fondue, and from zesty Oysters with citrus pearls to succulent wild salmon. It’s not just a meal; it’s an entire culinary journey that promises to excite and delight your taste buds. The menu is an adventure in itself, showcasing an array of flavors and ingredients that invite you to try something new with every visit.

We kicked things off with a virgin spritz and a perfectly balanced scroppino, which is one of my favorite summer drinks. Its perfect blend of sweetness and frosty coolness made it an instant hit, setting a positive tone for the rest of the meal. The drinks complemented our dishes beautifully and added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience.

Of course, we couldn’t resist indulging in the oysters. What caught our attention was the oysters adorned with citrus pearls, adding an unexpected twist to this classic favorite. The citrus pearls provided a burst of bright flavor that enhanced the briny, oceanic taste of the oysters, making each bite a refreshing surprise.

The wild salmon bruschetta, while bursting with flavor, leaned a bit heavily on the tomato side, slightly masking the delicate taste of the salmon, but I have to admit, the tomatoes where definitely tasty, and the overall combination still made for a delightful appetizer. It was a dish that showcased Dodici’s creativity, even if the balance of flavors could have been slightly improved.

The cheese fondue, a beloved classic, was a standout. Rich and creamy, it was paired with a variety of vegetables and some bread. It’s not often you see cheese fondue offered as a brunch or lunch option at other restaurants, which made it a delightful and unique choice. The fondue was a comforting and indulgent treat, perfect for sharing and savoring.

From premium cheeses and artisanal charcuterie to ingenious reinterpretations of timeless favorites such as oysters and bruschetta, Dodici’s menu is a tribute to diverse palates. So, if you find yourself in Haarlem with a craving for more then just a sandwich for breakfast or lunch, make sure to pay a visit to Dodici where you have endless options.
