Bar Lusconi in Amsterdam: Italian Comfort Food in the Heart of Amsterdam

If you’re looking for a cozy Italian spot in Amsterdam that serves delicious sandwiches, antipasti, and other Italian style dishes, Bar Lusconi is worth checking out. This charming restaurant offers a warm atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a nice lunch or more extensive dinner.

A Taste of Italy at Bar Lusconi:

Bar Lusconi is an Italian-style eatery that brings authentic flavors to the city and then give it a nice touch. Their menu is split into two main sections: a selection of sandwiches and small plates for lunch and a more extensive dinner menu featuring antipasti, pasta, pizza, salads, and indulgent desserts.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a full dining experience, there’s something for everyone.

Our Lunch Experience:

We visited Bar Lusconi during lunch and decided to try two of their sandwiches: the piadina with Parma ham and the sandwich with porchetta, fried egg, Fontina cheese, and mustard mayo. Both were well-prepared and enjoyable, though we found them to be more on the simple side rather than standout dishes. The flavors were good, and the ingredients fresh, but they didn’t quite leave a lasting impression. However, if you’re in the mood for a satisfying yet light lunch, these are still solid choices.

Ambiance and Service:

One of the highlights of Bar Lusconi is its unique interior. The restaurant has a circular design, creating an inviting and intimate atmosphere. It’s a space that feels both modern and cozy, making it a great place to catch up with friends over a meal.

Lunch service starts at 11:30 AM, so we had to wait a little before placing our order. However, once we ordered, the food arrived quickly, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The service was smooth, adding to the overall positive experience.

Looking Forward to Dinner:

While our visit was focused on lunch, Bar Lusconi’s dinner menu looks promising. With a selection of classic Italian antipasti, handmade pasta dishes, and wood-fired pizza, it seems like the perfect place for a more indulgent evening meal. Their desserts also look tempting, making it a spot worth revisiting.

Final Thoughts:

Bar Lusconi is a lovely Italian restaurant with a relaxed vibe and a good selection of food. While our lunch was enjoyable but not extraordinary, the inviting ambiance and friendly service make it a place we’d be happy to return to—especially to try their dinner menu. If you’re in the area and in the mood for Italian comfort food, Bar Lusconi is a great option to consider.
