Racing Thrills at Racesquare: A High-Speed Experience
If you’re a Formula 1 fan or simply love the thrill of racing, Racesquare is the perfect place to put your driving skills to the test. With seven locations across the Netherlands (Zandvoort, Utrecht, Alkmaar, Rotterdam, Zwolle, Hoorn, and Kerkrade), Racesquare offers high-end Formula 1 simulators where you can compete against friends or strangers on real circuits from around the world.
How It Works:
Racesquare allows you to choose your driving level and preferred circuit before providing you with available time slots. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sim racer, there’s an option for everyone. Once your booking is confirmed, you’re in for an immersive racing experience that feels as close to the real thing as possible.
The “Borrel Arrangement”:
We opted for the “Borrel arrangement,” which included four drinks per person (beer, wine, and soft drinks) and a plate full of hot and cold snacks. A welcome drink was also part of the package, but unfortunately, we arrived a little late and missed that part.
The experience started with clear instructions from the staff, followed by a practice race to get familiar with the simulators. After that, the qualification round determined our starting positions for the two intense races that followed. Each race can accommodate up to 16 players, making it a highly competitive and exciting experience.
The Medal Ceremony:
One of the fun additions to the “Borrel arrangement” is the medal ceremony at the end. If you book this arrangement, you get to experience a podium moment where the top racers are recognized—adding a competitive and celebratory element to the experience.
Racesquare Utrecht: Convenient & Accessible
We visited the Utrecht location, which is inside The Wall, a shopping and entertainment complex. One of the biggest perks of this location is the abundance of parking spaces, making it easy for those arriving by car. If you prefer public transport, it’s also a 15-minute walk from the nearest station, making it easily accessible for everyone.
Excellent Service & Atmosphere:
Throughout the race, instructors walked around, assisting players who got stuck or had any questions. The staff was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and always ready to help. We visited the Utrecht location, which was spotless (even the toilets were impressively clean), though there was a strong smell of fried food lingering in the air.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, Racesquare delivered an unforgettable racing experience. The combination of high-quality simulators, a competitive environment, and great service made it a fantastic outing. Whether you’re a die-hard racing fan or just looking for a fun activity with friends, Racesquare is definitely worth a visit.
