The service at Ekmekçi Almere was fantastic—fast, friendly, and efficient. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, which set the tone for an enjoyable meal.
Our First Gözleme Experience
We decided to try the gözleme, as it’s one of the restaurant’s specialties and something we’d never had before. For those unfamiliar, gözleme is a traditional Turkish dish consisting of thin, hand-rolled dough stuffed with a variety of fillings, folded, and cooked to perfection on a griddle.
We chose two variations:
- Feta, Mozzarella, and Spinach
This was a delightful combination of creamy cheeses and fresh spinach, creating a perfectly balanced and savory filling. - Meat and Cheese
For a heartier option, we tried the meat and cheese gözleme, which was equally satisfying. The rich, savory flavors paired wonderfully with the crispy, golden dough.
Both options were made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and tasted absolutely delicious. Since it was our first time trying gözleme, I can’t say how it compares to others, but I can confidently say we enjoyed every bite!
Drinks to Complement the Meal
To round out our meal, we sampled some of Ekmekçi’s refreshing drink options. Their mocktails, lemonades, and iced teas were the perfect companions to the flavorful gözleme. Each drink was vibrant, not overly sweet, and provided a refreshing contrast to the savory dishes.

While we focused on the gözleme, Ekmekçi’s menu offers so much more. Whether you’re a fan of Turkish cuisine or simply curious to explore new flavors, Ekmekçi is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their dishes (and perhaps another round of their delicious gözleme).
